COMMERCIAL MIDSTREAM HVAC

ONCOR COMMERCIAL MIDSTREAM HVAC PROGRAM

The primary purpose of this Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Midstream Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Program is to generate long-term demand and energy savings for Oncor C&I customers. The Program is designed to influence distributor’s promotion and sale of higher efficiency HVAC equipment for increased energy efficiency as well as stocking practices.

Service Provider Eligibility

Service Providers are the key to promoting the sale of qualifying equipment and educating the consumer about the benefits of high-efficiency HVAC equipment. Service Providers have the following responsibilities:

  1. Must be appropriately licensed in the State of Texas and in good standing with all of Oncor’s Energy Efficiency Programs.
  2. Promote the sale of qualifying equipment and educating customers on the benefits of high-efficiency HVAC equipment.
  3. Submit qualifying project information and documents to Distributors on time.

Project Eligibility

HVAC incentives are made available to enrolled Distributors who sell high-efficiency, qualifying equipment to Oncor HVAC Service Providers or Oncor Commercial Customers. The incentive amount is based on equipment type. Equipment must meet several eligibility requirements to qualify for incentives in the Oncor Commercial Midstream HVAC Program:

  1. Eligible systems are new and available for replacement on burnout or new construction applications.
  2. All units must have AHRI verified equipment or ratings verifiable at: www.ahridirectory.org or DOE/CCMS or Manufacturer’s Specifications sheets.
  3. Qualifying split systems must have both a new condenser and a new coil that meets AHRI specifications (or equivalent) where the matched system performance (condenser and coil) meets or exceeds the minimum SEER/IEER outlined in the Incentive Structure Tables.
  4. Design loads shall be completed by the procedures described in the ASHRAE/ACCA Standard 183, ACCA Manual N, or designed by a registered engineer.

Customer Eligibility

The equipment must be installed within the Oncor service area. A service area map and list of cities are provided to each participating Distributor, so please check with your distributor. Verification of customer address eligibility can be done through the Program Application Portal or Sightline Mobile.

  • Customers must have a commercial meter.
  • Equipment must not receive incentives from any other Oncor energy-efficiency program.
  • Units installed in master-metered, multi-family dwellings are not eligible and should utilize Oncor’s Multi-family Program.
  • Customer must be at a commercial premise and on a Commercial rate. The customer cannot be opted-out of energy efficiency programs or be on an exempt rate class code.

How Can I Participate?

Service providers should contact their Distributor to verify they are participating in the program. Or, you may reach out to Chris Coronel, SR. Account Manager, Oncor Commercial Midstream HVAC @ (817) 818-9461 or email.
