WEATHER TEXAS STORMS WITH SMART PREP
Dramatic weather develops quickly in Texas. Extreme heat, severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, floods and winter weather can damage energy infrastructure and temporarily disrupt delivery systems. Don't be caught off guard. Use our helpful emergency checklists to prepare now.
POWER RESTORATION
When the power goes out, Oncor's restoration team goes into action. We visit the outage sites to evaluate damage and determine how to safely and quickly restore power. We're committed to restoring service as soon as possible. Learn more about transmission, distribution, and the power restoration process.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
You can report a power outage or check the status of a previously reported power outage via our online reporting tool. You can also call us at 888.313.4747. If you have signed up for My Oncor Alerts, text OUT to 66267 (ONCOR).
To register for My Oncor Alerts, text REG to 66267. You will receive proactive power outage notifications and status updates all from your phone. (You can also select your contact preferences – email, text or voice alert). Learn more about My Oncor Alerts here.
Outage information is sent from Oncor to the online outage map every 10 minutes. During times of high traffic on the site, the map may take more time to refresh.
